This five week class helps the new comedian or actor develop a short routine to be performed in our final "Performance Night" class.
Students must bring material into first class.

Week One
Explore what’s funny, what’s not and where to look for material.

Week Two
Developing ideas, getting them written down and what the new comedian needs to do to make his or her personality work for them. A-list comedian guest scheduled to give pointers on developing ideas.

Week Three
Learn to work with equipment, focus on stance and presentation. Insiders tips on contacting clubs and booking shows. A-list comedian guest scheduled to give pointers on bringing ideas from page to stage.

Week Four
Mock Performance. Each student will perform five minutes of material to be videotaped. Discussion to follow.

Week Five
Performance Night with Comedy talent agents invited as guests. There will be notes and Q&A.

Each class will also consist of writing exercises and improvs designed to get the ideas out of the head and into an act. Each performer receives a video tape of the final performance.

"I don’t know what the hell you are doing in there, but keep it up cuz it’s great. I’m going to recommend any new comic to take your class!”
